Yes! Our community needs all of us!  Take the challenge, you can make a difference in West Conshohocken! Join your local volunteer fire company and become part of the fabric of your community. Being a volunteer emergency responder is about one thing. It’s not what you look like, what degree you have, or where you come from. It’s about heart. If you’ve got the heart to serve this community in a way few can, you’ve got everything we need. At one time, every volunteer member of Station 39 made the decision to take the first step to help our community. We will aid and support you every step of the way. Most of us have regular full-time jobs and families.


Anyone who resides in West Conshohocken, Conshohocken, or any of our surrounding communities is encouraged to become a member.

Becoming a firefighter provides you with access to state-of-the-art equipment, the latest training methods, and advanced education in life-saving skills. You will fill an urgent need in your community on a close-knit team with other dedicated volunteers.

ANSWER THE CALL - cAN I REALLY BE A FIREFIGHTER? the answer is yes!

In addition to the men and women who respond to emergencies, other types of members are also needed.  


We are always looking for volunteers with various types of knowledge, skills and abilities. Fire departments across the nation need volunteers with experience in business, accounting, marketing, medicine, law enforcement, mechanics, construction, computers and fundraising. 


The George Clay Fire Company’s current volunteer membership is comprised from this small list of professions, and more.
